A primary care practice in Conwy is looking for a proactive Deputy Practice Manager. The role involves leading administrative teams, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting the Practice Manager in delivering high-quality patient services. Deputise for the Practice Manager.
Manageadministrative staff and support non-clinical aspects of nursing staff,including rotas, appraisals, training, and adherence to employment policies.
Oversee performance and quality standards,ensuring accurate data quality, clinical system use, and production of reportsfor audits and contract monitoring.
Coordinate key administrative functions suchas chronic disease recalls, immunisation and screening programmes, medicinemanagement targets, and claims administration.
Support staff with IT and system issues,providing training and guidance.
Ensure confidentiality, equality, andcompliance with health and safety policies.
Contribute to continuous improvement, staffdevelopment, and maintaining high standards of patient care and servicedelivery.
Communicate effectively with patients, carers,and colleagues to support a positive and professional practice environment.
The practice has a list size of 6450 patients. We have a friendly Team of 5 Doctors, 2 Practice Nurses, HCA and a team of 6 Receptionists/Admin, Reception Supervisor, Deputy Practice Manager & Practice Manager. A midwife & 2 Occupational Therapists hold clinics weekly in the practice. Our Branch Surgery in Deganwy has surgeries Monday, Tuesday & Friday mornings.
Overall Objectives

To provide and support thePractice Manager in management resources for the achievement of the teamsgoals.
To report to and support thePractice Manager in the provision of high quality patient services within asafe, efficient working environment by providing effective support toclinicians and the administrative team.
The Deputy Practice Manager will workclosely with the Practice Manager to develop the financial/Patient careperformance of the Practice via Quality And Improvement Framework (QAIF) andEnhanced Services.
The Deputy Practice Manager willlead the daily management of the Practice and will ensure staff rotas areadequate and well planned to meet the companys needs. The Deputy Practice Manager will addressissues as they arise to keep all services running smoothly. To achieve this the Deputy Practice Managerwill manage, train and develop the administrative team and liaise with clinicalteam members throughout the day to enable clear communications and team workingacross the sites.
