Job description

We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join the team at this family-run nursery in Wimbledon, with an ASAP start!

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Deputy Manager, Third in Charge or high-performance Room Leader to showcase their leadership and management skills and it can be a great stepping stone in your career! This nursery offers career progression and is a great place to further your early years career.

As a Deputy Manager, it is essential you hold (at minimum) a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, and at least 2 years experience in a nursery is required. Good IT skills are also required.

This is a permanent and full time role to work 4 days a week, 7:30am‑6:30pm, all year round. The salary will range from £31,200‑£34,320 per annum.

Your responsibilities as a Deputy Nursery Manager will include:
  • Having joint responsibility for the day-to-day and operational running of the Nursery
  • Teaching the curriculum and educational programmes
  • Supporting the team to fulfil their roles in working with children, working with parents/carers, and working with team
  • Ensuring the nursery promotes and supports the children's personal development, behaviour, health, and welfare
  • Providing an inclusive environment for colleagues, children and visitors
  • Safeguarding
