Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home
Location: Melksham, Wiltshire
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £15.65 per hour + overtime at £20.65 per hour
Sleep-in shifts paid at £65 per night (minimum 4 per month)
Hours: 160 hours per month

Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join a warm and welcoming 4-bed childrens home in Melksham, supporting young people to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you'll support the Registered Manager in leading the home to meet its Statement of Purpose and uphold the highest standards of care. You will be a key figure in safeguarding, team development, and ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Development: Inspire and supervise staff, lead by example, and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Safeguarding & Care Practice: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people through nurturing, therapeutic care.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Support audits, inspections, and maintain adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Finance & Resource Management: Assist with budgeting, monitor expenditure, and manage staffing resources.
  • Environment & Community Engagement: Maintain a safe, homely setting and foster positive links with the local community.
Requirements
  • QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (essential)
