Fox Morris Group is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join an Ofsted-regulated residential children's home in Wandsworth SW17 8SB. The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager in leading the team, ensuring high standards of care, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential children's home.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality, child-centred care that meets the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of children and young people.
  • Assist in overseeing staff performance, including supervision, guidance, and development.
  • Contribute to maintaining full compliance with:
    • Ofsted Inspection Framework
    • Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
    • Quality Standards
  • Help manage audits, care planning, and reporting to ensure standards are met and exceeded.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children and young people.
  • Support with recruitment, rota planning, and general operational responsibilities.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in an Ofsted-regulated residential children's home (essential).
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker ready to step up.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a staff team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with willingness to work towards Level 5 if not already obtained.
