About The Role

Infrastructure Investor Deals is a data-driven, editorial led news service which provides private infrastructure practitioners with data points and commentary on market factors driving the industry globally. Dealmakers receive real-time breaking news updates on deals, with information on funds, valuations, EBITDA multiples, advisers and rationale behind each transaction. Private infrastructure players receive exclusive news and analysis across asset classes with an international focus.

We at PEI Group are looking for an ambitious Deputy Editor to join our dynamic team based in London.

Purpose
  • Support the editor in leading Infrastructure Investor Deals’ coverage of the global private infrastructure markets.
  • Have a constant handle on key news and events in the marketplace with a view to selecting coverage for all formats (website, database, podcast).
  • Be a key source of content ideas for Infrastructure Investor Deals, in close collaboration with the editor.
  • Become an editorial authority on all matters regarding private infrastructure transactions, regularly demonstrating which transactions matter most and why.
  • Produce regular transaction news, insight and data stories.
  • Optimise content based on user engagement metrics to ensure relevance and value to the Infrastructure Investor Deals target audience of private infrastructure transactions professionals and advisers.
  • Contribute to ensuring the Infrastructure Investor Deals website always has timely and accurate content.
  • Collaborate closely with PEI’s research & analytics team to ensure the Deals data offering is of the highest quality and consistently embedded in the editorial.
  • Where appropriate, collaborate with other infrastructure colleagues on affiliate editorial assignments.
  • Adhere to Infrastructure Investor Deals and PEI editorial codes of conduct and best practices at all times.
  • Maintain PEI’s high editorial standards.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Work closely with the Infrastructure Investor Deals editor to determine the overall editorial direction and execution strategy for the title.
  • Break exclusive transaction news.
  • Maintain strong reporting of on-diary transaction news.
  • Edit colleague copy and other content when needed.
  • Develop network of private infrastructure investment executives and advisers.
  • Conduct regular interviews with relevant infrastructure figures.
  • Ensure transaction level data features appropriately in the editorial content set.
  • Contribute actively to the Infrastructure Investor Deals transaction data collection and structured information creation process.
  • Contribute to the editorial agenda for Infrastructure Investor Deals in collaboration with the editor.
  • Ensure the Infrastructure Investor Deals website is consistently updated and oversee daily and weekly digest curation and publishing.
  • Determine, pitch, research and write off-diary analysis and insight features for Infrastructure Investor Deals.
  • Attend and participate in PEI conferences and external industry events.
