Position: Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Location: Solihull

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for safeguarding concerns and provide guidance to staff in the DSL's absence.
  • Support the coordination of all safeguarding referrals and ensure concerns are acted upon swiftly and appropriately.
  • Work closely with social care, the police and other agencies to support investigations and multi-agency plans.
  • Maintain high-quality safeguarding records and ensure information is handled confidentially and accurately.
  • Assist with the delivery of staff safeguarding training and help ensure statutory responsibilities are fully understood across the school.
  • Contribute to early help processes and provide tailored support for families and young people who require additional intervention.
  • Help raise awareness of safeguarding policies, ensuring they remain up to date and accessible to staff and families.
  • Support the school's responsibilities under the Prevent Duty, including identifying concerns and contributing to staff training.
