Overview

Deputy Children's Home Manager

Location: Northampton

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: £16.43 per hour, sleep-ins paid at £55

Hours: 40 hours per week, variable shift pattern across 7 days (7am-10pm or 8am-11pm, 3 shifts a week on a 3-week rolling rota)

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and operation of the children's home in compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Support and supervise staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of all residents within the home.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare required; willingness to work towards Level 5.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a residential childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
