Job description

Deputy Residential Manager – Birmingham (Central)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
Hours: Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm (flexibility required)

Meadows Care is seeking a passionate Deputy Residential Manager to support the Registered Manager in running our high-quality therapeutic children’s home. You’ll help lead a dedicated team, ensuring the care we provide meets Ofsted standards and truly supports the wellbeing of young people in our care.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside and guide staff to deliver exceptional care and support

  • Deputise for the Registered Manager during absence

  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals

  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and key records

  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment

  • Support staff supervision, training, and development

  • Handle reports, meetings, rotas, and day-to-day operations

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Experience in residential childcare

  • Commitment to therapeutic and child-centred care
