A large healthcare social enterprise in the UK is looking for a Deputy Chief People Officer. This senior role offers influence in shaping and delivering People services while leading the People Team. Responsibilities include operationalizing People strategy, leading transformation initiatives, and serving as a trusted advisor to executives. Ideal candidates will have extensive leadership experience, expertise in employment law, and CIPD qualifications. A salary of £80,000 per annum is offered along with numerous benefits including access to the NHS Pension Scheme.
We're looking for an influential, pragmatic and delivery-focused Deputy Chief People Officer to join IC24's People Team on an 18-month fixed term contract. This is a senior leadership role with real scope to shape, stabilise and transform how People services are delivered across a large, complex Healthcare social enterprise. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will play a pivotal role in operationalising IC24's People Strategy and driving measurable improvements across the entire colleague journey—from attraction and recruitment through to engagement, development and retention. With a strong hands‑on focus, you will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of People services while supporting significant workforce, cultural and organisational change. This role is offered with a strong operational emphasis (approximately 70% delivery / 30% strategic), working closely with the executive team, senior leaders, clinicians and People leads to professionalise, stabilise and continuously improve the People function. Success will be measured through tangible outcomes including improved engagement, reduced turnover, strengthened leadership capability and enhanced People service effectiveness. The preferred location is Ashford, with two days per week onsite, and flexibility around remaining working arrangements.
