Overview

Deputy Centre Manager Staines (Job Share)

Location: Staines Community Centre, with cover across all 3 Centres in Spelthorne. 14.4 hours per week (2 days per week: Monday & Tuesday). Salary: £12,547 - £14,919 p.a. (pro rata).

Responsibilities
  • Provide social and physical activities for older people; tasks may include kitchen work, running Centres with no on-site supervision, and driving Meals on Wheels.
  • Work across multiple Centres in Spelthorne and adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Deliver high-quality care and maintain composure when engaging with older people who may be vulnerable.
  • Utilise strong organisation and communication skills to support Centre operations and health and safety practices.
Qualifications and requirements

  • A caring disposition with the ability to remain calm in all circumstances.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene regulations is desirable.
  • Auditable English language competence for customer-facing posts, in line with the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers and Immigration Act 2016.
  • Role subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
