Job description
Overview

The post of Deputy Care Team Leader is a key post in leading and coordinating behaviour, attendance and safeguarding systems on site. You would be working closely with students, parents, staff and outside agencies on a daily basis and will need to be able to form excellent, trusting relationships with our SEMH students and their families. As well as supporting the day-to-day leadership of pastoral wellbeing, the role involves supporting student behaviour, and modelling expert practice for the staff team. Unconditional Positive Regard is at the centre of everything we do and the successful candidate must have the personal qualities and resilience to work in, and lead others in, this ethos. A key focus of this role will be supporting the wellbeing and emotional development of key groups of young people.

Responsibilities
  • Deputise for Care Team Leaders across the site as part of succession planning.
  • Lead interventions with key groups of students and support the overall strategy planning of pastoral support in key areas of the school.
  • Work with students, families, staff and external agencies to develop trusting relationships and promote wellbeing.
  • Model expert practice for the staff team and contribute to regular, high-quality training opportunities.

There will be regular, high-quality training opportunities to develop expertise and shape key areas of interest such as working with CLA students, safeguarding, Positive Regard and restorative culture.

Contract and Salary

Term time plus 5 working days (39 weeks). Salary point 20-23 - FTE £32,597 - £34,434 (Actual £28,002 - £29,580).
