Overview

Our client is looking for a Deputy Authorising Engineer (Water) to join our team. The role covers locations: London, South East, South West, Midlands, East Anglia and Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Salary banding £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus company vehicle and benefits.

What you will deliver
  • Act as Deputy Authorising Engineer in Water Services, Safe Water, Water Hygiene and Treatment
  • Identify appropriate training, assessment, and auditing of Responsible Persons for Water and other disciplines as appointed
  • Assist with management of the client\'s E&S Safety Rules and Procedures for Water Services; write written schemes of control and related documentation in line with policies and changes in legislation
  • Provide technical and engineering support and coaching to ensure Responsible Persons can carry out their duties; assist in developing RP/CP to support a balanced succession plan
  • Carry out internal or external auditing as required, including evaluation of subcontractor documentation and service reports
  • Provide guidance and support on technical issues to projects and contracts
Who are you?
  • Direct or indirect Responsible (or Authorised) Person experience in Water Services. Indirect experience would include support of an RP/AP as a service provider
  • Apprentice trained or NVQ/HNC; ideally degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience working within an M&E maintenance environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer/client relationship skills
  • Valid driving licence
  • Direct or indirect RP/Authorised Person experience in Healthcare Water Services and/or Evaporative Cooling Systems (Desirable)
  • Healthcare experience (knowledge of HTMs) (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience in water hygiene and treatment, including closed water systems, swimming & spa pools, and steam boilers (Desirable)
  • Professional qualifications or recognized membership (MWMSoc, MIoW, or MIHEEM, for example) (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience of Ventilation Systems (Desirable)
