Overview

Role - Depot Manager

Location - Medway

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Depot Manager preferably with a background in hire or engineering to manage our busy depot in Medway.

As a Depot Manager you will ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will proactively manage the team, have the independence of running your own depot, drive the business forward and continue to deliver the first class customer service that makes Speedy the best in our sector.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team and ensure high standards of performance and safety.
  • Keep a customer-focused approach in all activities.
  • Communicate effectively and organise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety practices at work.
  • Understand and work with profit and loss accounts and budgets.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for depot operations.
  • Adapt to individual and operational change in a diverse and fast-paced organisation.
  • Be PC literate with general knowledge of the construction industry and trades including products.
  • Experience with the hire process is an advantage.
  • Support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
  • Hold a driving licence.
