Base: Whitley Community Dental Clinic
Hours: Up to 37.5 Hours (full time). Please note whilst part-time applicants will be considered, the role must be fulfilled over a minimum of 3 days (22.5 hours) up to 5 days (37.5 hours).
Salary: Salaried Dentist Band A £52,532 -£78,798 (pro rata if part time)
Berkshire Community Dental Service (CDS) is looking for a dental officer to join their proactive, enthusiastic, and innovative workforce with a great team spirit. We are a patient focused dental team, dedicated to high quality oral care for people with a wide range of additional needs.
The service has 7 clinics ranging from Newbury to Langley and over 40 members of staff treating patients with additional needs including children, people with learning and physical disabilities and the elderly. You will be based at Whitley Community Dental Clinic but may also work at other clinics and in the domiciliary setting. It is therefore essential that you can drive, have a UK driving licence and a car for travel between clinics and hospitals.
Professional development and training are encouraged.Annual leave is 27-32 days pro rata depending on experience.
You will be on the rota for the Berkshire Dental Access Centre scheme and provide primary dental care for patients not registered or unable to receive emergency care with a General Dental Practitioner under NHS arrangements. This service is provided both on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
