Overview

Staffordshire Community Dental Service – Registered Dental Nurse Full Time Post

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (will include occasional OOH sessions and travel to other sites). The post includes Alternate Saturday Mornings 09:00 to 12:45. Alternate Friday afternoons are nonworking.

Location: Dental Dept, Ryecroft Health Centre, Newcastle, Staffordshire ST5 2BQ

  • Qualification in Dental Nursing – Essential
  • Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing – Desirable but not essential

Main duties

The Dental Nurse will provide full clinical support associated with the needs of the Community Dental Service. They are responsible for the daily operational procedures of their designated clinics. They will work alongside the Dental Surgeon and as part of a dedicated team. The Dental Nurse may travel between centres and assist with multiple dental surgeons. Evening, weekend and bank holiday work is required when operating within the out-of-hours emergency dental service.
