I am currently recruiting for a Demand Planner for a food based business in Kent. In the role you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving demand forecasts to support supply planning, inventory management, and business decision-making. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure accurate forecasts aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain statistical and collaborative demand forecasts at SKU, product family, or customer level
  • Analyse historical sales data, market trends, promotions, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate commercial inputs (promotions, launches, events)
  • Monitor forecast performance using KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy (FA) and Bias
  • Lead or support S&OP review meetings
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting demand and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Maintain demand planning systems
  • Support inventory optimisation and service level targets
  • Prepare reports and ad hoc analyses for management
Experience required for the role
  • 2-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with forecasting tools or ERP systems
  • Understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles
