Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee safe day‑to‑day site operations.
  • Lead and supervise operational teams and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Assist with planning, permits, and isolation activities.
  • Provide operational support during maintenance and outages.
  • Maintain site standards, housekeeping, and operational readiness.
  • Provide shift cover and operational support where required.

Skills

Operations experience within power generation or similar industrial environment
Engineering or maintenance background
Experience managing operatives and contractors
Good understanding of industrial plant (pumps, motors, fans)
Knowledge of health & safety legislation
Comfortable working towards Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
Strong communication and leadership skills

Salary: £44,000 – £66,000 (OTE : £75,000)

Shift: DAYS! (Mon–Fri)

Location: Hartlebury, Worcestershire

to join a market-leading Industrial Facility during a period of continued investment and growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Engineer to step into a highly visible, hands‑on role within a modern power generation environment that converts waste into electricity.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the plant, leading teams, managing contractors, and taking ownership of safe and efficient daily operations.

Skills required for the Days Operations Engineer
  • Operations experience within power generation or a similar industrial environment
  • Engineering or maintenance background (advantageous)
  • Experience managing operatives and contractors
  • Good understanding of industrial plant (pumps, motors, fans, etc.)
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and safety rules
  • Comfortable working towards / acting as Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
