A leading technology firm in England is seeking a Data Technology Manager to lead and modernize their data strategy and technology stack. This role involves providing technical guidance and overseeing the implementation of Azure-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in data engineering and excellent leadership capabilities. Competitive compensation and an inclusive work environment are offered.
As a Data Technology Manager, youll play a pivotal role in shaping and modernising our data strategy and technology stack, ensuring our approach is forward-thinking, efficient, and built on best practice. Reporting to the Head of Data Technology and CRM, youll not only set the vision for our data architecture, but also stay close to the action: building, problem-solving, and delivering solutions alongside your team.
This is a role where youll lead from the front, providing technical guidance, hands-on expertise, and strategic direction in equal measure. Youll oversee the modernisation of our Azure-based data environment, champion scalable and resilient data pipelines, and drive adoption of tools such as Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Delta Lake.
Working across all areas of the IET, youll ensure our data is secure, accessible, and delivering maximum value for analytics, business intelligence, and operational excellence. Youll foster a culture of technical excellence in the Data team, guiding offshore development, collaborating with business stakeholders, and making impactful architectural decisions that keep us at the forefront of innovation.
Were looking for a hands-on leader, someone with deep technical credibility in data engineering, but also the strategic insight to shape organisation-wide data strategies. Youll have extensive experience with Azure data technologies, a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions, and the leadership skills to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Youll be just as comfortable in a design meeting as you are debugging a pipeline or building a proof-of-concept. Your ability to balance big-picture thinking with practical delivery will be key to your success.
What if you could be you? The IET is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. To find out more, head over to our Work for the IET site.
