The Role

As a Data Scientist at MAG, you'll help us unlock insight from vast and complex data sets to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements. Working across multiple airport operations and business functions, you'll apply advanced machine learning and AI models to tackle a wide range of challenges - from forecasting and customer segmentation to incident detection using innovative data sources like CCTV and social media.
You'll develop and deploy predictive models, deliver tailored insights to stakeholders, and help shape MAG's long-term data strategy as part of a growing Data Science team.

What will make you successful in the role?

We're looking for a technically skilled and inquisitive Data Scientist who thrives in solving complex problems. You'll need:
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models
• Strong Python skills - can write clean, testable code, and have experience with pandas/polars, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, etc.
• Experience using SQL and managing large datasets from disparate sources
• Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as AWS SageMaker, Lambda, CDK
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including gradient-boosted tree models, clustering, time series, linear programming, and LLM engineering
• A collaborative approach with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive mindset with a desire to keep up to date with the latest advancements in AI, data science, and machine learning
