Job Tittle: Data Centre BMS Engineer

Location: Longcross & Hayes

Type: Full time, Onsite

Salary: up to £48K per annum

Our client, a global leader in real estate and facilities management, is looking for a skilled BMS Engineer to join their Data Centre Solutions team.

In this role, you’ll ensure critical building systems run smoothly at all times by carrying out planned maintenance, responding to reactive works, and resolving system faults. You’ll be working across two sites (Longcross and Hayes), supporting essential BMS and EMS systems that keep data centres operating efficiently.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS & EMS systems
  • Responding to faults, breakdowns, and reactive tasks promptly
  • Performing system and sensor calibrations in line with schedules
  • Diagnosing and repairing plant defects to keep systems operational
  • Ensuring accurate records, logs, and paperwork are always up to date
  • Supervising subcontractors on-site and ensuring safe working practices
  • Supporting continuous improvements to systems and processes
What you’ll bring:
  • Recognised Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, or equivalent)
  • Multi-skilled knowledge across Mechanical and Electrical systems
  • Experience with UPS, Generators, Power Distribution, and HVAC
  • Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment (essential)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Awareness of health & safety practices and ability to follow safe systems of work
