Overall job purpose
The pace of innovation within RSM is increasing all the time and this has created the need for additional skills within the firm in relation to data and analytics.
The role will be responsible for driving the adoption and deployment of data analytics across the firm by successfully delivering client facing project work and generating and driving internal innovation solutions.
The Transactions Data Analytics team works with multiple service lines; however this role predominantly involves working closely with the financial due diligence team, supporting them to analyse large and difficult data sets using Alteryx and other tools, before then visualising findings in innovative and interactive ways through Microsoft Power BI and Excel, on both buy and sell side transactions. The internal innovation aspect of the role involves identifying areas across the business where analytics tools can drive efficiency and improve operations.
This role is in an agile team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders, so excellent communication skills are essential. Our next colleague will be experienced in utilising data analytics tools within a financial due diligence setting across a broad range of transaction types. They should have strong problem-solving skills and demonstrable experience of delivering against challenging deadlines. They should be passionate about data analytics and their own continual development.
