Overview

Orka Financial is working with a Global Software business to recruit a Data Analyst. The role will be based at their offices in Staines on a hybrid basis (3 days per week). This is a key role in the Business that will work closely with the FP&A Director, along with the broader business, to provide analytical insights that contribute to the UK&I.

Type: Permanent

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Per Annum

Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain and improve Power BI dashboards for Revenue, Expenses, Headcount, and other operational metrics.
  • Provide analytical insights related to clients, including client industry trends.
  • Extracting, cleansing, and combining information from multiple data sets.
  • Driving upstream process improvements that result in more accurate reporting.
  • Training individuals on how to effectively use workbooks, reports, dashboards and any other tools that are developed.
  • Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats.
  • Continuously monitoring data quality.
  • Engage with other departments to develop a deep understanding of their functions and available reporting.
  • Support on the preparation of the monthly leadership dashboard reporting, covering financial and operational performance.
  • Providing general analytical support to the Finance team & business.
Profile
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage
  • Strong IT and mathematical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication.
  • Accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to identify areas to improve and drive forward efficiencies.
  • Advanced experience with Excel (Required)
  • Power BI developer experience (Required)
  • Experience of financial systems (Oracle preferable)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + bonus + benefits
