Overview

Data Analyst — Full-time, permanent - 35.75 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Salary – £33,057 per annum. Location - Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh (Hybrid working).

Responsibilities
  • Manage and enhance dashboards and reports to support business needs.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support the integration of AI, machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Support the development of data warehouse.
  • Educate and empower colleagues to use data effectively.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for a wide range of stakeholders.
Ideal candidate qualifications
  • Relevant degree (e.g., Computer Science, statistics, data science) or unrelated degree with 3+ years\' experience.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python, with experience in data warehouse technologies.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms and tools such as Azure, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • A solid understanding of databases, data structures, and reporting best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational abilities, creativity in developing solutions, and the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

This hybrid role involves a mix of office-based work at Meadowbank, home working, and occasional visits to other venues as required.
