An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join the Governance team at Siemens’ award-winning manufacturing site in Congleton UK, part of the Motion Control (MC) business unit.

Our cybersecurity specialist will work to ensure our infrastructure and systems are well protected against potential threats to ensure seamless factory operation. They will work closely with the various teams across the location and with our headquarter teams in various countries.

Due to the need for in-person support, this role is based in our Congleton location with the requirement to be on-site every week.

You’ll create impact by
  • Lead all security activities for the Congleton factory, ensuring independent management of business-as-usual security tasks.
  • Act as the local Product and Solution Security Expert (PSSE), reporting to the Factory Managing Director and global Cybersecurity Officer.
  • Develop and implement the factory’s cybersecurity strategy, driving security measures and supporting responsible teams.
  • Identify and mitigate potential security risks, coordinating meetings and tracking implementation of security actions.
  • Ensure physical and IT security across the plant, including access control, production systems, and network integrity.
  • Collaborate globally within the wider MC organisation, sharing best practices and preparing documentation for knowledge transfer.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in IT or related discipline, with strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and ISO 27001.
  • Proven experience in operational technology and IT security, including project management and clear communication of complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and organisational skills, with the ability to drive results in multi‑stakeholder environments and adapt terminology for different audiences.
