This full-time permanent role requires experience in freight forwarding and a solid understanding of customs procedures. Qualifications

Customs Entry Clerk

Our client is currently looking for a Customs Entry Clerk to work at their London office. The company is an international freight forwarder with offices based throughout the UK, covering all modes of transport – air, road, and sea freight for both imports and exports. This role will involve working on both import and export customs declarations at their East London office and is a full‑time permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export.
  • Dealing with entry queries.
  • Researching commodity codes, duty rates, licences, and documentation requirements.
  • Calculation of duty and VAT rates per consignment.
  • Processing duty reclaims.
  • Maintaining compliance with current and evolving customs legislation.
Requirements
