Job description
Customer Team Member

Location: 2 High Street Theale, Reading, RG7 5AN

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview. Role will also include working in our in‑store bakery.

Full, paid training provided.

Eligibility: You must be aged 18 or over to apply for this role as it may involve either, working before 6am or after 10pm, or some other business‑related needs.

What you'll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service – put customers first in everything you do: respond to queries, champion Co‑op products and Membership, work in our in‑store bakery and do all you can to deliver a great shopping experience.
  • Work together to make everyone's day better – support your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
  • Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and ensure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
  • Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.
  • Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events.
