What to expect

As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that's dedicated to helping our customers. We'll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages. This isn't your standard food retail job, and no two days will be the same. But the one thing that won't change is your dedication to providing great service to our customers and members. Our stores are a strong part of the local community and we're proud to give back to them. So not only will you be helping customers find what they need, making sure the store looks good, and introducing them to our membership scheme, you'll be building relationships and getting to know who shops with us every day. Because that's what being part of a community is all about. That's the Co-op difference, and you'll do it all with a smile on your face, just so you can put a smile on theirs.

Culture and benefits
  • Building an inclusive workplace: We want to build diverse teams and we welcome applications from everyone. We want our stores to be inclusive environments, where our colleagues can reach their full potential. We celebrate our differences and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities they serve. If you have a disability, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process according to your needs. We're also part of the Disability Confident scheme, meaning we'll always offer an interview to disabled candidates who apply through the scheme if they meet the minimum criteria for a job. We'll ask whether you'd like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply. If we invite you to take part in the recruitment process for any of our jobs, we'll ask you if you need any reasonable adjustments to enable you to participate.
