Job Title: Customer Services Executive

We are a family-owned eCommerce business based in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. Supplying industrial, safety, and commercial equipment to a wide range of clients, we pride ourselves on excellent service and strong customer relationships. We're now looking for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join our growing team - someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer support and wants to be rewarded for their efforts.
This role will involve occasional Sunday work to cover holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries and orders in line with company policies and procedures (including orders, quotes, invoices, despatch, and email/telephone enquiries).
- Accurately process orders through our Warehouse Management System (Cin7).
- Liaise with couriers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries, including managing late or failed deliveries, coordinating returns, and handling damaged or lost goods.
- Raise, track, and resolve courier claims (e.g., delays, damages, losses), ensuring all issues are followed through to completion.
- Provide proactive support to customers, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with the sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Contribute to the overall success of the customer service team by supporting daily functions.
Skills & Requirements
- Confident in operating phone systems (experience with CISCO phones advantageous).
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Google Drive and related programs.
- A collaborative team player, willing to support cross-departmental initiatives.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and make sound decisions.
- Positive, customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in customer service within industrial, commercial, or distribution sectors is desirable (though product knowledge can be taught).
- Familiarity with CRM systems is preferable.
- Experience dealing with couriers, including handling late deliveries, returns, damaged goods, and claims processes, is highly advantageous.
