Qualifications

Availability

Availability Window: Days and times vary. Generally, available times include Sun 08:00–18:00, Wed 18:00–22:00, Thu 18:00–22:00, Sat 18:00–22:00. The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you\'ll have 3 weeks\' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility, so if your available times closely match but do not exactly match the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you. Click here to read more.

Pay: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

It\'s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; if you would like to work fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for this too.

You will be responsible for

  • Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by keeping the van and trays clean and tidy/organised
  • Leaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish; pick up litter as you see it
  • Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
  • Loading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthiness
  • Talking to the customer about changes to their order, including substitutions, and offering refunds for items they are unhappy with
  • Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
  • Explaining to the customer that substitutions will not incur additional charges
  • Delivering during the customer\'s time slot
  • Calling the customer before arriving if you are early
  • Calling the store if you are 30 minutes or more late

You will need

  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and work together to deliver the best store experience for customers
  • Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you"
  • Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work
  • Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
