Pay: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but there are opportunities to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) as well.

We schedule contracted hours within the advertised availability times and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. If your available times closely match but do not exactly align with the advertised times, we’d still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:

  • Keeping the van and trays clean, tidy, and organised
  • Leaving the back yard clean and picking up litter
  • Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
  • Loading the van and checking vehicle roadworthiness
  • Discussing any order changes with customers, including substitutions and refunds where needed
  • Managing products/deliveries with care
  • Informing customers about substitutions and billing
  • Delivering within the customer’s time slot
  • Calling customers before arriving if early and calling the store if running late
What you will need
  • Build relationships with colleagues to support teamwork and customer service
  • Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
  • Respond to changing customer needs and embrace change
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations and maintain work-life balance
  • Share ideas with management to improve the store
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
