A regional NHS Foundation Trust in Wigan is seeking a Band 6 Radiographer to join their Cross Sectional Team on a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MRI and CT procedures, along with recent NHS experience. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Radiographers to join the Cross Sectional Team at WWL Teaching Hospitals on a fixed-term 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. The post is for 37.5 hours per week; part-time hours will be considered. Candidates should have a flexible approach to their working hours as this contract will be flexible across 7 days, including evenings, weekends, nights, stand-by and across multiple sites. WWL offers cross sectional imaging across 3 sites which includes Wrightington, Wigan and our new state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Leigh Infirmary. Our portfolio includes 4 Siemens CT scanners and 3 Siemens MRI 1.5T wide bore scanners across all sites and a new 3T MRI at the Wrightington site in 2025. You must have proven experience of an extensive range of MRI and/or CT procedures and a demonstrable high level of MRI and/or CT scanning knowledge. It is essential to have recent NHS experience. You should have evidence of ongoing CPD activities incorporating current advances in both CT and MRI. The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.
