A healthcare provider in Aldermaston is seeking a motivated band 5 nurse for their Critical Care Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients and working across two sites. Candidates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and be prepared to work some weekends and nights. Ongoing professional development is supported through in-house and university-linked training.
Our Critical Care Unit is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic band 5 nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for critical care. We work cross site. The unit at RHCH is a 9 bedded facility with approximately 40 health care staff, and BNHH is an 18 bedded unit with approximately 90 health care staff. Your primary base would be BNHH. We are a friendly and supportive team that admits both medical and surgical admissions from the Emergency Department and the wards. We have an outreach service and this team works alongside the critical care team to ensure best care for our patients. We also run an established Advanced Critical Care Practitioner program. We recommend an informal visit to understand the nursing role in critical care.
We provide specialist services across the UK and internationally and are part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving a population of around 600,000 people.
