Responsibilities

Could you support individuals to deescalate crisis and improve mental health and wellbeing, through focused 1:1s and structured crisis interventions?

Our Crisis Cafes provide a warm, safe and calm environment, where anyone can get support, guidance or just a safe place to go to. The role will involve assessing needs and offering one-to-one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing, you will also provide clarity on other services available in the area. You will facilitate groups and 1-1 support to assist the development of self-management skills to aid individuals to manage their mental health problems and enhance their wellbeing.

Shift Patterns
  • Tuesday 18:00-22:00
  • Wednesday 18:00-22:00
Experience required
  • Preferably 2 years’ experience of working with people with mental health issues.
  • To have a positive attitude towards people with mental health issues
  • Demonstrate organisation and scheduling skills effective planning, to be creative and solutions focused.
  • Resilience and ability to deal with challenging situations.
  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults in a 1:1 setting and person-centred way.
  • Experience of creating and managing personal improvement/wellbeing plans for service users.
  • Ability to work within professional boundaries.
  • Computer literate
