Job summary

A leading education support organization in Reading is seeking a Criminology or Psychology Graduate to work with vulnerable children facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will mentor and guide students through their school day and collaborate with various professionals to support each child's well-being. This long-term role offers competitive daily rates of £85 to £95, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 15:30.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Criminology or Psychology required.
  • Must have a passion for supporting vulnerable children.
  • Skills in identifying and managing behavioural issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with children facing childhood trauma and mental health issues.

Overview

Are you a Criminology or Psychology Graduate looking for a graduate opportunity? Are you hoping to work with vulnerable children who suffer with their mental health? Can you be a positive role model?

Responsibilities
  • Work with children with childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, attachment disorders and PTSD.
  • Mentor and guide them through the school day, ensuring they receive emotional and therapeutic support.
  • Collaborate with Teachers, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists to ensure the safety and well‑being of each pupil.
  • Play an instrumental role in rolling out a therapeutic approach in the classroom, helping students develop resilience and a quality education.
Qualifications
  • Criminology or Psychology Graduate.
  • Positive energy and passion to help vulnerable children.
  • Ability to identify behavioural triggers and apply de‑escalation techniques.
