Your new company: A leading financial institution is seeking a Credit Manager to join its Risk Team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of Financial Institutions & Non-Banking Financial Institutions clients, with a focus on credit risk analysis and portfolio management. You\'ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for safeguarding the bank\'s credit exposure, with a particular focus on counterparties in both developed and emerging markets. You\'ll gain exposure to a wide range of financial products and institutions, including banks and non-bank financial institutions, while playing a key role in shaping credit decisions that support the bank\'s strategic objectives.

Your new role

As a Credit Manager, you\'ll play a key role in assessing and managing counterparty risk across a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), spanning both developed and emerging markets. You\'ll support the team by conducting annual reviews, evaluating new client requests, and providing risk assessments for complex transactions.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Counterparty Risk Management
  • Conduct detailed credit analysis using financial statements, models, and client reports.
  • Engage directly with clients to validate information and form sound credit opinions.
  • Manage the full credit risk lifecycle, including limit requests, ratings, and appetite assessments.
Transaction Risk Assessment
  • Analyse risk in new and existing transactions, particularly in global markets, commodities, and derivatives.
  • Support Front Office teams with time-sensitive trading requests.
Portfolio Management
  • Monitor the creditworthiness of counterparties through media and direct client engagement.
  • Maintain internal databases to ensure accurate client, product, and industry data.
