Overview

A leading investment manager with a proven track record in credit markets is seeking a Credit Research Associate. The role will focus on high yield bonds and leveraged loans, providing in-depth company and sector analysis to support investment decisions across credit strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed fundamental research on European and US high yield issuers and leveraged loan borrowers including financial modelling and capital structure evaluation.
  • Monitor portfolio positions and provide timely updates on credit performance and industry developments
  • Produce investment notes for discussions with Portfolio Managers and other analysts to formulate investment ideas
  • Perform relative value analysis on new opportunities across primary and secondary markets
  • Keep up-to-date on market trends, regulatory changes and macroeconomic drivers impacting leveraged credit markets
Candidate profile / Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit research, leveraged finance, restructuring or a related field
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to assess cash flow sustainability and capital structures
  • Solid understanding of credit documentation
  • Ability to articulate investment views clearly with conviction
  • Self-motivated and proactive nature
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline; CFA designation (or progress toward) a plus
