A leading manufacturing business based in Newton le Willows is seeking a Credit Controller to manage a lively debtor book of over 300 accounts. The role includes driving process improvements to enhance customer experiences and collection times. About Our Client

We are supporting a manufacturing business located in Newton le Willows with a turnover of £250million. They are growing year on year with an impressive 18 month plan.

Job Description

  • Actively chasing a live Debtor book of over 300 + accounts.
  • Driving change and process improvement enabling a better customer experience and quicker collection times.
  • Positively contribute to the integration of credit control processes with other processes across the business to drive efficiency - e.g. B2B sales platform and operations for customer payment collections and returns/credits
  • Payment allocations, statement reconciliations and completion of credit notes.
  • Proactive reconciliation of customer accounts including dealing with account queries, statement requests.
  • Internal payment reconciliations and credit card processing.
  • New account creation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of working on a fast moving, high volume, high value ledger on multiple trade terms.
  • Exception customer service skills and a track record of achievement in collections.
  • Experience of process improvement, driving change and efficiencies across a department.
  • Target driven
  • CICM preferable but study support available.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience of Credit Insurance policies
  • Team management experience preferable
  • Ability to build strong relationships and the drive change
  • A proactive results-drive attitude
