Description

At AXA Global Healthcare, we have a new opportunity for a Credit Control Recoveries Advisor to join our Finance Operations team in Tunbridge Wells on a full-time, 12-month FTC basis. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing subscriptions and claims, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding recoveries, and processing invoices for Large Corporate Groups. You’ll work across multiple systems and collaborate with various departments to ensure all financial data is accurately reflected on members’ policies. Your role will also involve resolving complex queries efficiently, supporting both internal teams and external clients to maintain smooth financial operations. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage daily controls for subscriptions and claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile subscription payments (direct debits, cheques) to source reports and ensure correct allocation.
  • Reconcile claim payments (cheque, BACS, direct credit), investigate exceptions, and prevent leakage.
  • Extract banking reports, investigate inconsistencies, stop cheques if needed, and notify the business of received cash.
  • Ensure all claims transactions in the system accurately reflect money received and process urgent payments through banking systems.
  • Maintain logs of cases opened, closed, and recoveries to ensure accountability and timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the team to chase overdue premiums via outbound calls, ensuring weekly and monthly targets are met.
  • Follow group suspension processes proactively, narrate issues over three months for management or escalate them promptly.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a financial recoveries or customer services together with the ability to handle objections.
  • Emphasis on ensuring accurate processes and adhering to policies to support overall operational integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good numeracy skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Proactive, assertive, and motivated to deliver high-quality results.
  • Bookkeeping experience would be advantageous.
