Job description

The Creative Administrator is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work‑flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub‑function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

What you’ll do:
  • Partners with marketing product professionals as well as front office product experts to assist in the design and produce necessary marketing materials.
  • Responsibilities can include creative strategy, developing, producing and distributing marketing program information and publications about company programs and products, as well as creating and producing marketing materials and campaigns.
  • May be responsible for the development and production of content either on advertising and branding initiatives or on the web site.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • The Creative Lead serves as one of the primary points of contact for internal clients on high‑value (Tier 1 / Platinum) presentation projects, guiding the entire process from initial briefing and ideation to project management and execution. This role demands an advanced designer capable of developing sophisticated concepts and storytelling techniques, while also leading and guiding the design team.
  • A core responsibility of this role is to significantly enhance the client experience for our expanding portfolio of high‑value engagements and critical deals. The Creative Lead will be instrumental in designing, leading, and executing strategic programs specifically aimed at elevating customer satisfaction and engagement. This individual will drive design innovation and be responsible for researching, evaluating, and integrating new technologies, design methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and elevate the quality of our design output, systems and templates.
  • Reporting Line: Into the Section Manager Responsibilities: Client Engagement & Project Leadership:
    • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for internal clients on high‑value projects, leading initial kick‑off calls, gathering detailed deliverables, and understanding banker preferences.
    • Coordinates the end‑to‑end process for high‑value (Tier 1 / Platinum clients) presentations, including ideation, theme setting, art direction, planning, and execution.
    • Manages project timelines, negotiates deadlines, prioritizes workload, and allocates resources efficiently, ensuring overall responsibility for output quality and timely delivery.
    • Acts as an advanced designer, developing compelling concepts and storytelling techniques to inspire and guide the design team throughout the creative process.
    • Proactively enhance the client experience for high‑value presentation projects by nurturing key client relationships, gathering feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing tailored solutions to foster strong, collaborative partnerships and ensure client satisfaction. This includes collaborating with the Section Manager to strategically plan and execute initiatives that elevate the overall client journey.
  • Design Innovation & Technical Advancement:
    • Drives innovation in design by actively researching, evaluating and implementing new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance creative output and departmental systems (e.g., PitchPres, EDDI, eTracker).
    • Identifies and champions new design trends, ideas, and best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and creative excellence within the team.
    • Proactively recommends and implements process improvements and technological adoptions to increase efficiency, quality and productivity across design operations.
    • Provides expert technical assistance and troubleshooting for clients and staff regarding design software, templates and departmental systems.
  • Team & Departmental Support:
    • Contributes to and coordinates global initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience and departmental offerings.
    • Assists with reporting, internal projects and other duties as required to support departmental goals.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new technologies or innovative design solutions – highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience in a corporate, service‑oriented environment or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through comparable work experience – essential.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Adobe Certified Expert, Microsoft Certification) – an advantage.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), particularly advanced PowerPoint functionality for complex presentation design – essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Professional) – essential.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new software, technologies, and digital tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex design concepts and technical information clearly and concisely. Exceptional creativity and a profound understanding of the fundamental principles of graphic design, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, and execute sophisticated PowerPoint slides and presentation narratives from initial client briefings.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and an unwavering focus on quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor and guide a design team effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a high‑performing team environment.
