Are you a Crane Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer looking for a hands‑on role with great overtime opportunities to significantly boost your earnings?

Established over 50 years ago, this company supplies and maintains crawler cranes and heavy plant equipment for construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. They operate a modern fleet supported by an in‑house transport and engineering team.

In this role you will inspect, service, maintain and repair crawler cranes and heavy plant equipment across the Manchester / Northwest region, carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs to keep equipment safe, compliant and hire ready.

This role would suit a Crane Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer with experience maintaining crawler cranes or lifting equipment, looking for a long‑term role with strong overtime opportunities.

The Role
  • Inspect, service, maintain and repair crawler cranes and heavy plant equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Prepare equipment for hire, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met
  • Liaise with operations and transport teams to support equipment movements and site requirements
The Person
  • Experience maintaining and servicing crawler cranes and/or heavy plant machinery
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
