Job description
Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, conscientious and dedicated Electrician to join an Estates Maintenance Team responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment at properties owned and maintained by Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Trust. The role will require the post holder to undertake the role of Competent Person (CP) as defined within Health Technical Memorandum 06-02. The post holder will operate as part of a diverse maintenance team with a wide-ranging knowledge of electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across Trust properties.
  • Act as Competent Person (CP) as defined in HTM 06-02.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and LV distribution diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot, test and inspect electrical systems and components.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification (NVQ 3, BTEC/National Certificate/Diploma or ONC/OND) and a recognised Electrical apprenticeship with a high level of competence.
Salary and benefits

The salary is Agenda for Change Band 4. The RRP is £6,040.95 per annum. On-call pay is £21.92 per call (minimum 1.5 hours); additional on-call time paid at time and a half, including travel time. Enhanced bank holiday pay for on-call and time back in lieu. New entrants start at the minimum of the scale. Up to three weeks induction with the Prepare to Care programme for all new starters.
