CPCS Lift Supervisor – Avonmouth – GBP25.00

VGC Group are looking for an experienced Lift Supervisor to start on a Civil Engineering project in Avonmouth. This contract is available from 29th September. Role: Lift Supervisor. Location: Avonmouth. Salary: GBP25 per hour CIS. Duration: 6 Months +. Hours: 10 hour shifts with potential for 12 hour shifts. Contract: Full time. Experience: 2 years +. Qualifications: CPCS Blue, SSSTS preferred but not essential. Safety Critical Medical will be provided.

Role: Initial lift supervision of mobile crane working with 2 slingers, prior to multiple cranes being installed on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and correctly.
• Conduct regular team meetings and briefings to communicate project updates and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of resource usage and inventory levels.
• Ensure that materials and equipment are used efficiently and maintained properly.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with workers, site managers, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, including any issues or delays.
• Handle any on-site conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time, including timesheets, permits, and inspection reports.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
