Trinity Academy Leeds is a brand-new secondary school situated in the east of the city. TAL is a school that sets the highest of standards for student behaviour and achievement in addition to championing its staff and supporting them to develop and grow. We are now in our second year and have already proved to be a popular choice for local families. We are now seeking a Cover Supervisor to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to enhance the development and education of students. This role would suit a highly motivated, positive, and flexible individual who is considering a teaching career in P.E. or a related subject in the future. You may already be employed as a Cover Supervisor or be a qualified teacher looking for further experience in schools or you may be seeking a new challenge with a willingness to learn new skills.

At TAL, sport is a key pillar, and we are passionate about encouraging all students to enjoy, compete, learn and grow through it. We have an extensive and thriving extra-curricular programme and regularly compete and win at a regional and national level in a range of sports. Our students love sport and also value their education across all the curriculum. This role would involve covering lessons for absent teachers across a range of subjects with an additional opportunity to regularly teach/support P.E classes and to deliver co-curricular sporting opportunities and to create and lead key teams. We would provide you with full training and the opportunity to take relevant CPD courses. As a growing school, there are valuable opportunities for development and promotion in the future. What are we looking for?
  • 5 or more GCSE’s (or equivalent) at C or better, including English and Maths
  • Experience of teaching or relevant learning environments, covering groups or whole classes (students 11-16)
  • Experience of assessing student progress and contributing to assessment processes
