Cover Supervisor – Rhondda Cynon Taff (CF41)

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff (CF41 and surrounding areas)
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time, until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £110–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor, recent graduate, or trainee teacher (PGCE in progress) eager to inspire the next generation? This is your chance to gain valuable classroom experience across Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in Rhondda Cynon Taff while supporting pupils in their learning journey.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, keeping pupils engaged and on task
  • Deliver pre-prepared work and manage daily classroom routines
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, productive learning environment
  • Support pupils with their tasks, answering questions and offering guidance
  • Communicate effectively with staff and follow school policies
  • Adapt quickly to different subjects, classes, and age groups
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or otherwise)
  • Confidence, reliability, and flexibility across different year groups
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A calm, supportive approach to behaviour management
