Currently, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Kings Norton.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor at this SEMH school, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff and ensuring students receive a positive and structured learning environment. You will be responsible for overseeing students in the absence of their regular teacher, following set lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and providing individual support where needed. Your work will directly impact the educational experience of students who may face additional challenges in their learning due to social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure learning objectives are met
  • Manage and promote positive behavior in the classroom
  • Provide individual support to students when required, ensuring their needs are met
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEMH needs
  • Support the development and implementation of student intervention plans
