Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor to start September 2025. This is a long-term position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will supervise classes across a variety of subjects, including Maths, History, and Geography, for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. While the lessons will be planned in advance, you will be responsible for managing the classroom, maintaining behaviour standards, and ensuring that pupils remain on task.

Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally in a school setting (e.g. as a cover supervisor, tutor, or teaching assistant)
Are confident with behaviour management and classroom supervision
Are flexible, professional, and reliable
Hold a degree or equivalent qualification
Are willing to cover a variety of subjects as required
Hold a DBS registered on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
Qualified teachers and individuals with relevant experience in education are encouraged to apply.
