An educational staffing agency is seeking a Cover Supervisor to oversee classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Your role is to ensure students remain engaged with set work while maintaining a positive environment. The position requires experience working with young people and strong communication skills, while a degree or relevant experience is preferred but not essential. Role Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in the work provided. You do not need to plan lessons – your focus is delivering the set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre‑prepared lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay focused
  • Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding procedures
  • Report back to the department on lesson progress and any issues
  • Support pupils with accessing the work when needed
  • Build rapport with students and act as a positive role model
What we’re looking for
