Overview

James Ray Recruitment are offering a unique opportunity to start a career within education. We are looking to recruit multiple individuals to work as a cover supervisor with local schools in the Liverpool and surrounding North West area. We are looking for candidates with a background in tutoring or classroom support, with the confidence to manage a classroom on a cover basis for temporary and long-term contracts. The ideal candidate will have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to deliver pre-set work to a good standard.

At James Ray Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to attend a fantastic online course, run by an experienced educator who will give a detailed insight into working in the classroom to help you feel prepared for the role. Previous experience working with children or young adults is preferable but not essential as full training is provided on the course. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your journey within Education.

Pay rates are dependent on experience and will be discussed during registration. We are looking to recruit prospective candidates to commence work as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Work as a cover supervisor in local schools, delivering pre-set work to a good standard.
• Maintain effective classroom management and behaviour management.
• Support students according to the needs of the lesson and timetable.
• Participate in the online course and any required training to prepare for the role.

Qualifications and requirements

• Minimum qualification of degree or above.
• Willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
• Full UK driving licence would be very advantageous.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Have a reliable & flexible approach to work.
• Experience with children and young people.
