Overview

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for education? We’re looking for a Cover Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting learners, and making a real impact. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 40 hours per week. Novus Gower is our prison education provider at HMP Parc.

HMP Parc Prison is a Category B men’s prison located in Bridgend, Wales. The prison accommodates individuals who have been convicted of various offences requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Responsibilities

• Support learners and contribute to an effective learning environment.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to drive efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage learners and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
• Teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification — with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
