Overview

Deichmann Shoes have an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Cover Store Manager, supporting our store in Ilford and other stores in the surrounding area. Our ideal Cover Managers will have previous experience at supervisor or management level within a retail setting or similar, and be keen to progress their career in store management.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Lead by example in promoting and upselling products.
• Drafting rotas in line with payroll budgets.
• Stock management.
• Analysis of sales figures and reports.
• Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained (merchandising, administration).
• Working to targets and hitting company KPIs.
• Assist with the recruitment and development of the team.
• A hands-on leader with experience in retail or a related industry sector.
• A positive and flexible approach with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Confidence and ability to motivate, coach and inspire the team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Methodical and organised with a structured approach to work.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Candidates with a full UK driving licence are preferred due to travel involved.
• The stores you will cover and support include Ilford, Eastham, Stratford, Walthamstow, Woolwich, Lewisham, and additional stores within a reasonable commuting distance.

• Flexibility: You must be fully flexible to work across the week.
• Progression: After initial training, Cover Managers build understanding of how Deichmann stores operate by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores. On completion of training, Cover Managers are in an ideal position to be promoted to Store Manager.
